Chapter 229: Poems

Dead Poets Society. The movie I watched with my Literature mates back in 2004. And till today some stayed true to their arts root and are proud of it. Great job guys :)

This is my favourite scene from Dead Poets Society. Scene was taken when Todd did not prepare a poem to be read aloud in class. And Mr. Keating indirectly helping him to "create" his poem.

This is from another scene-
Mr. Keating said:
We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race and the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering these are noble pursuits to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love these are what we stay alive for.
Quote from Whitman:
"o me,o life of the questions of these recurring of the endless trains of the faithless of cities filled with the foolish, what good amid these o me,o life?"
Ans: "that you are here. That life exists and identity. That powerful play goes on,and you may contribute a verse."

So readers, what will your verse be?
